Position 1: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for our Dallas office.  Scope of responsibility for the role includes the provision of BHS layout and support structure drawings for client approval, manufacturing take-off and site construction, as well as mechanical design support for the sales team during the tender process.

The successful applicant will have experience working on multi-disciplinary projects and have a proven track record in regard to delivering accurate, high quality work within tight time frames.  Excellent communication, relationship building and planning and organising skills are essential.

An engineering qualification with sound relevant design experience in a medium/heavy engineering/manufacturing  industry is desirable, along with a minimum of 5 years AutoCAD or similar experience.  AutoDesk Inventor experience would be an advantage, as would experience within the baggage handling/materials handling and/or structural steel industries.

Position 2: Project Manager

We are seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Project Manager to work within our United States project team.  Responsibilities include the successful delivery of complex projects to contractual and commercial targets, interfacing with clients as well as relationship management with internal departments and subcontractors.

Strong financial, commercial and contractual attributes are a pre-requisite along with:

  • Relevant experience in project management including on-site management
  • Proven experience in negotiation and conflict management
  • Proven delivery of project outcomes with contractual documentation
  • Sound working knowledge of contractual and commercial issues
  • Sound working knowledge of financial management and budgeting processes including the ability to estimate cost to complete and forecast cost at completion
  • Sound working knowledge of project scheduling and planning

A tertiary engineering qualification preferred; a mechanical background would be an advantage.
