FastDrop goes live at Vancouver

Posted by Glidepath Admin on

Two Glidepath 'FastDrop' self-service bag drop units went live at Vancouver International Airport on November the 1st. The units, for sole use by Air Canada are fully CUSS compliant. The FastDrop provides an open, inviting design with an intuitive user interface. Included features are intrusion detection, rapid volume and weight determination and unique camera sensing technology which averages an impressive 10-second transaction time across all user groups in trials.

Delivering a seamless but personalised passenger check-in experience is the challenge faced by airlines as self-service technology becomes the preferred method of choice for travellers. The rapidly growing adoption of bag drop technology offers an improved passenger experience while also providing cost savings through staffing efficiencies.

Airline customers using self-service technologies are enjoying fewer queues and faster processing times which provides increased passenger throughput within the exiting terminal space and creates a simplified and more enjoyable pre-flight experience.
