GLIDEPATH - BUSINESS CONTINUITY THROUGH THE IMPACTS OF COVID-19

UPDATED 31 March 2020

Now that Covid-19 (Coronovirus) has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation, Glidepath has activated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP). Like other global businesses, Glidepath is monitoring the situation in all countries it operates and following information, guidelines and restrictions being put in place by regional authorities.

Glidepath’s top priority is keeping its employees and customers safe and secondly, providing continuity of service to its customers. However, the Covid-19 pandemic is causing disruption outside of our control. The situation is changing regularly so in order to inform interested parties we will be updating the information below as we are further informed.

SHIPPING

There has been a significant reduction in shipping capacity and a shortage of containers. Globally, sailings are being cancelled and goods are taking longer to clear.

Airfreight capacity has reduced significantly as passenger flights are being cancelled, reduced or suspended.

Your Glidepath Project Manager will be in touch to discuss any schedule related impacts.

SUPPLY CHAINS

Glidepath's manufacturing facility will be closed as of the 25th of March for a period of four weeks. The New Zealand government has instituted an Alert System and today announced that New Zealand has escalated to alert level 3 and will move to alert level 4 from 25 March where only essential services will remain open. Project Managers are all equipped to work from home and will be in touch if this impacts your project.

SUPPORT SERVICES (O&M, PHONE SUPPORT)

The site operation and maintenance teams are working with our airport and logistics clients to implement pandemic preparedness plans suitable to each site. These include preventative measures such as enhanced cleaning, social distancing of staff during shift changeovers, distancing of management and relief staff so that we have back-up available. In addition to this we are established to be able to provide remote monitoring of the systems should full staffing levels not be available on site.

CONTINUITY OF EXISTING PROJECTS

Every effort will be made to meet contract deliverables - when and where restrictions allow - but our first priority is the safety of our employees and customers.

Glidepath has locally based staff in key regions and trusted, reliable in-market sub-contractors that should help us to resource ongoing projects through the regional travel restrictions.  Your Glidepath Project Manager is monitoring the situation and will have been in touch to discuss any potential project impacts. By now you should have a clear understanding of the implications to your project and you will have had substantial dialog with your GP Project Manager. For additional assurance or information regarding the effect of COVID-19 on your project, please communicate directly with Milton Purchase, Projects Director E: milton.purchase@glidepathgroup.comor P: +64 21 985 493.

It’s also important Glidepath has a complete understanding of the Covid-19 impact on your business and the level of infection in your area. Please discuss with your Glidepath Project Manager so we can fully assess the situation and requirements.

CONTRACTUAL CONSIDERATIONS

In these uncertain times, communication and collaboration is critical. Please do not hesitate to contact your Glidepath Project Manager to work through any challenges you may be facing and we will endeavor to do the same.
