In September 2011 Glidepath was contracted to install a new outbound Baggage Handling System at Penang International Airport in Malaysia.

The multi-million dollar installation involved integrating equipment into the existing system so maintaining airport operations was a huge challenge. The cooperation of Air Asia, Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and Cathay Pacific (to name a few) assisted this process greatly. Along with a number of Malaysian subcontractors, Glidepath worked closely with main contractor Syarikat Pembinaan Anggerik. The baggage system progress was directly tied to the construction progress and solid cooperation was crucial in order to meet the project hand over date in June 2012. The Senior Manager of MAHB’s Project Management Office offered his congratulations upon completion of a ‘great project’.
